obama/gun rumors

i know there have been alot of rumors going around regarding obama. some of them i believe but others make you question the source.

the current two i am hearing are that
1. he plans on raising the tax on ammunition by 500%, which seems rediculously high.
2. he is trying to outlaw semi-automatics, which would put alot of businesses/manufacturers in a bad situation.

either way, i was wanting to get a xd 45 but i might need to go get one pretty soon if these end up having any validity to them.

thoughts???

Obama said recently that the gun rumors/taxes etc are unfounded and he has no plans for new restrictions or taxes. We'll see if he keeps his word on that one. His record in Illinois says otherwise.

Thats what I think, however, the first $1000 I have to blow, I'm picking up an AR, and then as much ammo that I can there after.

x2, voting to completely outlaw firearms kinda contradicts what he just said

Christ, my 45 ammo is expensive as it is. I had to go buy a Walter P22 just so I wasnt at the range for 15 minutes because I cant afford to shoot up more than 100 rounds of 45 in one day.

Anybody who likes to shoot pistols should take the time to find IDPA pistol matches in your area. IDPA, International Defense Pistol Assoc, matches are usually held at local gun ranges. I used to stand in one spot and shoot pistols all the time thinking I was a pretty good shot. After 2 years of IDPA I know I'm 10 times the shooter I used to be.

Usually you shoot around 100 rounds in a match which consist of approx 4-5 stages around 20 rounds each. You have to move, crouch, lean, and use cover all while shooting targets for points and time. It's a blast. I recommend it to anyone; especially if you conceal carry.

I havent checked into IDPA, but we have a local group that does Tactical Matches. Its probably close to the same thing. Its basically the same type of courses the military and police use for training.

i was thinking that there couldnt be a whole lot of truth to the rumors.

i remember when blagojevich became govenor, they said that our foid cards, (register with state police to purchase firearms and ammo) were going to go from 5 dollars for 5 years up to 500 bucks for 5 years.

of course nothing ever happened to that effect.

If Obama deems it necessary for safety, he will not care how may jobs he destroys. He has proven this with his plans for the coal industry.

please... remember he's going to create 3 million NEW jobs with his infrastructure plan.

the only ones going to get jobs are the union laborers and skilled workers.
not the unemployed by choice, welfare hungry people (aka: obama supporters.)

ok say he does create 3 million new jobs, the people who got laid off aren't guranteed the new jobs that were stripped away from them. why not create 3 million new jobs and not destroy other jobs in the process.

NO NO NO...listen closely to what Obama is saying about jobs. He said he plans to SAVE or create 3 million jobs. First of all saving jobs can not be measured... think about it.

Also, something to think about is that Reagan was credited with creating 20 million new jobs and G. Bush is credited with upwards of 15 milliion new jobs.

Listen closely to Obama when he speaks... he goes in circles a lot.
