Welp i guess i'll be the 'other guy'..lol. I like solid colors on trucks. The only 2 tone i'll have is toreador on top with mud on the bottom.

Cool

I like solid colors too
But, I did see a red flareside custom painted with white and black. The black was just to divide the white from the red. And the white actually went up and over the ARE tonneau cover on the back. From the back the truck was almost all white but head on it was red. I wouldn't mind doing something like that with my new truck

Woodland Green, Power Mirrors, 3.73 LS, Captains Chairs
Trailer tow Pkg, Class IV hitch, sliding rear window

ARE tonneau top, mud flaps
am/fm/cassette/cd, Clarion APA 5240 amp

I could probably live with two-tone if it didn't continue up and over the wheels which, in my opinion, looks terrible. I prefer the more "classic" look of solid paint. Besides, I had to have dark red and any other available accent color would look schlocky.

I personally don't care for 2 tone, but the right color combinations do look great. I wouldn't choose one for myself but the pics of all the ones I've seen in this post look great.

Solve this debate:
I say that there is a black over gold two tone option. Mudder says there is not.
If you have black over gold, please speak up.

My neighbor's daughter has a '99 that's
Black over something. Not sure if it's gold or silver. Next time I see the truck, I'll report back.

Yep ! There is a black/gold Lariat. I have seen a guy around town here w/that combo. Looks good, it's lowered slightly w/some nice wheels & pirelli scorpions..
Mudder's mind is on the upcoming match in Dallas/San Antonio ? LOL

Two tone can look good. My truck is a two tone but if I had my way it wouldn't. I looked high and low for a Lariet (got to have leather) without two tone but could only find one green truck (great color, but with of all things a grey interior) without two tone.

I ended up with green with gold two tone (and the proper beige interior). The fenderwells look good painted in gold. If I could just get rid of the rest of the two tone along with that stupid Lariet stripe I'd be happy. But the two tone is painted on so it's there to stay. Sometimes you gotta compromise. Oh well.

BTW, my ideal would have been white, no two tone.

Cool

I like two-tone if it is the correct color combination. My favorites being red/gold and black/gold. I'm just glad that there is a variety of colors and two-tone combinations so that we can all express our own tastes.
