Post Truck Numbers (new topic)

Has anyone read or heard what percentage of the F-Series is sold to the private sector?
I know the F-Series is the top annual seller and Ford produced 800,000 plus in '97, '98 and '99. I was wondering out of that 2,400,000 how many were lined up at some Contractor's worksite, or were wreckers or ice cream trucks
and how many were actually in the driveways of individuals owning PC's.

You see, I have to buy the beer for the Norfolk rally...

Question

If you added the Chevy and GMC (same truck) would the #'s come anywhere close to Ford's?

Thats true. Texas, everyone down thar has a Suburban, or a supercab F-150 or a Crewcab diesel.

Everyone up here has a crewcab or an older F-150.

Well here in north west Tennessee theres alot of trucks on the road. And of the full size trucks there is about 50% fords on the road around here and about 40% chevy and gmc dodge rounds it out at about 10% of the full size trucks on the road around here. But you don't see very many of the pre 94 dodge trucks on the roads around here. About 98% of the dodges are 94 and newer. But there are still several trucks from the 70's and 80's still on the road from ford and gm as well as the new ones so I know my ford is going to last me a long time.

I was shocked when I moved to Albuquerque and saw more ford trucks then I have ever seen. They have a new dealership here that needs his own zip code for his dealership because of the acres of trucks he has.
And as I've mentioned before our company purchased over 400 trucks last year alone and yes they were ALL FORD. That equated to 7.9 million in equipment purchases. So Raoul you better have LOTS of KEGS awaiting if we ALL decide to come to your "Bash". LOL

You mean to tell me Dodge made a full size truck prior to '94?
I've been living in a cave.

Should Ford be worried about the Dodge Ram? The only think I like about a dodge is the Cummins. And the old Ramchargers. I always thought Rams were kinda rediculous.
