Quite a few. My company normally has the day after (or before) Xmas, and the Federal Government has been given the day of by Bush.

5 day? I get X-mas day and New Years day, and that's it. I'll be taking both Fridays off though, along with most people in the office.

Our shop will be closed. It's Boxing Day. Not really a stat holiday here (except in Ontario) but it's common for some employers to act like it's one.

Yep. Off Friday also. We also usually get the day before or the day after off, depending on what weekday Christmas falls on.

Og, you have a boss? (Other than your wife) I figured you for self-employed. Kind of hard to picture such a rebel rouser working for someone else.

Same here, except I start tomorrow and I am an IT guy, not a teacher. The company I work for closes up shop through xmas and new years every year. Don't have to use PTO and we get paid for it
