Angry Adobe Acrobat 4.0 Help

Is anyone familiear with this product? I downloaded it to view some files at work, now its screwing up my browser. Everything is in Arial type and looks like a *.pdf file. Any techies out there who can help? What settings need to be changed?

Check to see if you already "had" the latest adobe Actrobat in your computer. Most games come with it, and I always see what version it is first before chosing to down load it. You probably already had it and now you must delete it to remove "conflicting versions" The highest # is the most recent version.
When ever I get to a site that says I need that, I just look for the way around it. There usually is. I'm not a guru, but I have sucessfully built one computer and reformatted my HD way to many times. I'm smarter now. Don't download any web-accelerater crap either!!! (net-sonic) some of that stuff is impossible to remove!! (even when it comes with an alledged uninstall feature!)
I think the Adobe thing can be resolved easily enough though.

Couldn't find the right Polished steel design, so once I modify the powercoated ones I just bought, I will paint them.

Q: who wants my "Pocket Mount" chrome ones? Price:cost of shipping, or gas and maybe lunch if you live in S/E MI.

I had version 3.0 but there was a conflict with office 2000. So I deleted 3.0 and installed 4.05. I can now view the files I needed to see, but the web is messed up.

Help!!!

Try posting to Adobe's web-site. I use Adobe all the time - with NT. I don't have Office 2000. Perhaps Microsoft could supply some help.
They may have installed a little goodie to prevent the user from using a competitor's product. (They have been known to do that, from time to time.)
Perhaps re-installing the browser would correct the problem. You can get Netscape for FREE from their web-site.
