Unhappy Puttin on my Monkey suit.

I got to get ready to go to this party now at the neighborhood club. I'm going as a visitor. I wouldn't join any club that would have ME as a member. Taking a liter of rum and a sixpack of Michelob as backup. My tea-totaling brother-in-law is driving us. He said he has me covered, brought some big bungies for his roofrack. If they put me up there I swear I'll holler and raise such a stink they'll regret it.

I know that I talked big in other posts about all that Y2K stuff but, now that the time is getting close, I'm getting scared.

hold me

Wink

Relax Raoul!!
Not to add to your uneasiness, but I just backed up any files that I didn't already have on CD. I knew That 'burner' would come in handy. I'm ready! Got a case of beer, lots of chips and salsa, and videos. I had to go to three different stores just for Tostito's, as appearently there has been a 'run' on them.
After my husband set the oven on fire and burned it beyond repair, the Tostito's that were in it remained undamaged, so those would be the snack food to stock up on. If the whole world 'comes to an end' tonight, the only living things left will be the Roaches and they will have plenty of Tostito's to live on forver!

Q: who wants my chrome ones? Price:cost of shipping, or gas and maybe lunch if you live in S/E MI.

A quick rundown, realizing this is not NORAD...

DEFCON 4 at 4:00p. Secure site. Mandatory OT through Sunday.

Main server already backed up and mirrored to aux server (this is normal procedure every night anyway).

DEFCON 3 at 10:00p. Power down aux server, disconnect from power grid, fire-up aux power generators. Wait for countdown. Watch ball drop.

In the event of failure, the date on the aux server would have been rolled back to 1972 and brought back up. This being a leap year (the other Y2K bug), we would have almost 28 years to fix the code.

Transition was uneventful. No problems seen as yet. Have been informed Sunday will be B.A.U.

HAPPY NEW MILLENNIUM!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well,

I said B.A.U., but here I am again...and no T.V...

Stihl, I felt like an outcast. I was beginning to think everyone hated the joke. (No one here liked it either)

I didn't want to ring in the new year with Raoul feeling so afraid and alone...
