So heres the deal. I have a pair of electric fans that are off a vehicle, but I have no idea what they are off of. I would like to find out what they came from so I can find out what kind of air they flow, if they are worth a damn, etc.

Ive found multiple numbers on the fans and shroud, but come up with nothing when I search Google or type the numbers into some GM sites. Im going to assume its GM because of a number I found on it (GMP.PA66.005) which comes up as a plastic identification/specification for General Motors it looks like.

Does anyone have any ideas where I could try searching for this P/N to figure out what it might be off of? I just thought right now, I could probably call a dealer and see if they would have the number. Any ideas?

what size fans are they? Pics?

 

Yeah I tried that site about 30 minutes ago with no luck.

They are about 13"...which is why I am leary about putting them on. Im not sure if they would pull enough air to cool my truck or not.

Ok, so, looking around a little more and finding some pictures, it appears they are off a 2000ish Chevy Malibu.
I havent confirmed it yet with a part number though. I know GM likes to change P/N's, so maybe these are off an earlier model Malibu and the part numbers I have on mine have been replaced with new ones.

The pictures I have found for Malibu fans, and the ones I have, look identical though.

Now I just need to find out if the Malibu fans are worth a chit or not. The ones I have work, but whether or not they will cool my truck or not is another question....
