I dont see the big deal. I am not worried. If something doesnt work right i am sure the will have it fixed in no time. I am going to sleep right through the new year. I am having to have my wisdom teeth cut out the day before new years (the 30th). Its gonna suck.

I'm sure the whole computer thing is not what they are making it out to be. Just a big marketing ploy. But watch for those people with the explosives...that's the only thing on my mind.I got a buddy works at an airport, won't say his job title, but there's a lot more getting confiscated than makes the news...

Isn't gonna be a big deal for me.

Freezer is always stocked. Always have at least 2 cases of bottled water on hand. Always have fuel for the generators. Have water purifying filters for camping anyway so not too worried about water. Already have a few bucks in the safe. Relatives have farms with thousands of gallons of fuel and tons of veggies. Propane tanks are already filled.

The only thing I'm worried about is the internet. If the darned net goes down, I don't know what I'm gonna do!! I'll need to call a therapist to get me thru it.

 

AllI need is a tank of gas, a case of beer, and some pretzels, and I'm all set.

 

No Y to K prob for me - I just took off my K Yek, & put it on the Y yek & vers visa. Kou have a few other probs. but kou ynow it's not too bad - spell cheyer reads crazk, but what the hecy - its a NEW KEAR. HAPPK NEW KEAR to all.

My company is paying triple time for Friday and Saturday nights (plus 15% shift diff) and free food all weekend till Tuesday. So I'll be at the corporate ground zero waiting for nothing to happen and scratching my head alot and looking confused just to give all the muckety mucks something to sweat about. My only question is will **** Clark look younger this year than last?

 

I have to agree with Sycoholic, this has been one of the greatest marketing tools used in the 20th century..but it shouldn't suprise anyone, paranoia always sells. Toothpaste, underarm deodorant, clothes, cars, personal protection devices, the list is filled with products which have used such approaches. I will not worry about it at all, nothing is going to happen . I will set in my Lazy-Boy and watch TV, and ring in the new year with my Wife & Kids.

I'm not worried about it at all. I think it a media hipe and a way for greedy people to make more money off of people. I'll be bringing in the New Year on my 4wheeler in the Glamis Sand Dunes! Or is that picking myself up off the sand cause I've had to much to drink? Justkidding!

Seriously, I will stay away from any crowded areas for the celebrations and have a generator and some Kerosene on hand in case of power outage.
