Red face Decreasing size of F150

I remember when I bought my truck how much of a monster it was.
Now it seems like it's "normal" size.
What happened?
I'll tell you what happened.
I rode 50 miles to Sumter yesturday in my sisters '94 Pontiac Sunbird and now I am reminde how big my truck actually is.
And I don't even have the supercab!

54regcab,

I have that same feeling.I am used to the size of the truck now.
Friday, I drove in my 1979 FORD Taunus 2.3 V6, I still have.
It looked like I was driving a kart.
Parked right beside the truck, then you'll know how big it still is.

I don't think I could ever go back to small. I owned a Porsche, BMW, Jetta and lots of other small but fun stuff. I only feel right in a pick-up now and I need one to haul my stuff and my kids' stuff. Even my Taurus wagon seems too small now.

Add-ons: Older Windstar driver's side wiper blade (with the air scoop, because I don't slow down when it rains), back-up beeper, "f150online.com" sticker and snazzy Tweetie Bird floor mats.

My third F-series: '73 F-100, '98 F-150 and '00 F-150. Great trucks!

I only had my F150 for a month but had to take it in to the dealer for service.

Anyhow when I drove my 89 Mustang for 2 days, I realized how much room that my truck has in headroom, legroom, and hiproom. I felt so crampped in the Stang. I'm 6'1" and my left knee usually sticks right in front of the stang's vent.

I had a 96 Impala too which is about the same width and length but since this truck is a 4x4, I'm still having some trouble adjusting my parking.

Started taking my truck's size for granted. Then I parked next to an Excursion. My truck's about a foot and a half longer. My friend's F-350 crew cab is even longer, by a rear bumper.

I got to ride in a 97 f-150 Supercab that had the factory bench and they suck. I couldn't feel my a$$ for about 10 minutes. I feel sorry bout ya'll and your bench seats.

Hey, I love the Bucs. they kick ***!! I love putting on the Alstott jersey every game and screaming until I am horse. I just got done watching them spank the Packers. God I hate the Packers and the Vikings and the Lions. I used to hate the Bucs them most until they finally changed owners, coaches, stadium, colors and were reborn. I love em now! I used to be a major Cowboys fan.

Shaun King is here to stay! Trent Dilfer sucks! Go Bucs! Stay out of Alstott's way! Along with Warren Sapp and John Lynch and Donnie Abraham and Brad Culpepper and Hardy Nickerson.....

Sorry, got a little carried away.

I am more of a Pre 99' Broncos fan. They were awesome with Elway, Davis, and Sharpe.

Hey guys I also began noticing my F150 shrinking and finally had enough and went out and ordered a Crew Cab. I've now realized that the Supercab wasn't getting smaller, but my kids were just getting bigger
Since I'm truckless I'm having to borrow my mom's nissan 4x4. EEEK!!! This poor thing has NO "get-up". Sometimes I feel like I need to get out and help it along. And forget about putting the kids even in it. No room at all. But it's got 140k on it and it still runs (barely) so as long as it gets me to the ford place when my new truck comes in, I'll be happy. What am I saying... I'll be estatic

I think I know what it is that I like about my truck's size. It's like my parents' cars were when I was growing up. Back then my dad drove things like a '59 Chev Biscayne wagon and a '65 Galaxie 500 XL.

You stepped into these things, into a wide bench-type seat with a big wide dash and lots of headroom and stretch-out lounging around room.

High, wide and handsome they were back then. And so these F150s are today. That's what I like about my truck's size.
