UAW golf course.
Wow the UAW is something!

Lets see... UAW workers think that the company will screw them if the union wasn't there.... but the UAW TAKES there money... and.......screws them. Unbelievable.

UAW golf course.
Once again....

The union members think that the auto companies would screw them without the unions. The unions are taking the money stolen from the workers and paying for a golf course. Now to save face they are selling it... unbelievable.

A thread that reveals how rediculous the UAW is got deleted? Surely it must have been a mistake.
And I thought the UAW couldn't be any more of a burden. When the UAW no longer exists and the GM has filed for bankruptcy I wonder if old union employees will still be able to make tee times 14 days in advance?
I bet they have a guy making 50K a year that puts the the ball on the tee for you!
This is pretty interesting:
From a peak of 1.5 million members in the 1970s, the UAW ranks have dropped to just 465,000 regular members, according to its most recent federal filings.
In 2007 the UAW had receipts — union dues, fees and other income — of $327.6 million and it spent $330.3 million. While losing members, the UAW International, since at least 2000, has been able to hold fairly steady in the amount of money it brings in and spends, according to federal records. It has $1.2 billion in net assets.

Let's just Unionize all industry and pay everyone 30-50 bucks an hour with unbelievable benefits like the UAW. Will that make you happy. If not we might be able to get a membership at the UAW golf course thrown in if it's not bankrupt and closed down by then.

The ironic part of that is the actual "American Auto Worker" doesn't have a voice in all this. What is the Union that is supposed to protect the worker doing inturn?
Isn't that 10 bucks more an hour that worker would be getting instead of being unemployed?

Bring some comfy shoes though, you'll be on your feet a lot. Take a dramamine just in case because they tend to walk in circles a good bit too.
I never said anything about capping labor costs. I am against the unions making outragous demands on companies. And look where the companies are now.
Thanks Rockpick.....
