Thumbs down Members' Profiles...incomplete

Does anyone read the profiles of members? I usually do, 1st find out where members are from and 2nd to see what they do for a living/fun. Many people don't take the time to fill out their profiles, they want total anonymity and can have that with their username but are afraid they'll be tracked down if they mention their location. They can be tracked by just signing on. Does Steve keep any stats on how many members actually file out thier profiles? If you want to be a member let the others know who you are, we're all here for the same reason!
Hey, even Dunbarton has narrowed down his location to a few hundred square miles.

Some of us, with out going into too much detail (much to the delight of Dondo7) don't want to be that easily located. When I take pics of other great looking Ford Trucks, I tell the owner that the plate will not be shown on the net. I'd hate to think that something would happen related to me posting their Truck on my Site!!
Being cautious is a good thing. When I first came here, I left my gender anonymous until I was sure of the integrity of the other members. (actually, Tina "busted" me) Now I have met several F150onliners in person, and found them to be great people.
Bottom line: the "No-Profilers" may be shy.

Lund Fastback, Lighted visor, Runninng Boards, Crome Taillight covers, Polished Steel Fenderwell Moldings, Smoked Bug and Rain guards, Shelf-it, Carpet dash cover, Red Wings license plate in front, Red Wings license plate frame in back, Little Detroit Viper hanging from mirror, Oh yeah, and one "Blacked-out" grill.
Gonna get my Bed rails back on, Finally!
Couldn't find the right Polished steel design, so once I modify the powercoated ones I just bought, I will paint them.
Q: who wants my chrome ones? Price:cost of shipping, or gas and maybe lunch if you live in S/E MI.

Fingering a server will give you a general location of a user thats pretty simple. Some people may choose to remain anon due to the job they hold.

Cool

You hit the nail on the head Tex.
My job requires that I maintain this ID, for now.
But, just as soon as next November gets here and Hillary starts her new job, I'll be able to expose myself to all of you.

Cool

Well, I don't have a problem, and since my town is only one square mile, you'd probably be able to find me in 5 minutes or less. That is, if you can find the town. Blink and you just missed it. If the members are anything like they are online, I wouldn't mind meeting them. Being sought out is another story though.

I don't mind individuals knowing where I'm from, however as a matter of course, I don't post such info on the net for the world to see. The less personal information I put out there, the better.

I also don't post to any message boards that displays my ip address since I have a static address. It's a security issue for me. I don't have any problems with the site owners having that info, but I don't want the general public to know it.

mtknee,

I'm sure 99.9% of us here are of outstanding character( no, not an outstanding character Raoul). It's just the .1% that I'm not sure of. I really don't want to be that accessible to the "wackos" in the world.
