One motor to rule them all

The Ford motor to beat all others. Built by hand in 1964. Ford claimed 650 horsepower with dual carbs. How it ended up in this car who knows. It'd be a gas to build an old F100 around this motor.

I thought the 427 SOHC ruled them all.

I thought that was the engine he was discussing. The Boss 429 was a close second.

The Boss 429 came from the factory extremely detuned, but with just a little tweaking, it was a monster. Plus, you could actually find them whereas the 427 Cammer was a bit more rare.

Nice truck. The interior would have to go. Better yet, put it back to stock, and put the 427 into something more worthy.. The SOHC is worth a lot of money. I wish I had 25k.. I would make an atempt at that thing. Put the ranchero to stock.. sell it for what I bought it for.. and keep the SOHC for a future project.
