Have him "chip in" with whatever you were going to spend for used running boards and get some NEW ones!

I don't see that you have a bug guard on your truck. I saw a radical one yesterday that instead of going on the front end of the truck, it went over the air intake grill right infront of the windshield. It looked real good but had one draw back that I could tell. Leaves would fall onto windshield and just slide right under it. The guy had it on a lowered F150 and he did say he had to remove it weekly to clean and get the leaves out. But it sure looked good.

"Dad, you're just too good to me. Some tinted window vent visors are around $38. With the rest, take mom out for a night on the town and don't spare the horses."

You can get a replacement back-up bulb that beeps when you put her in reverse. I like mine because I've got little kiddies playing in the driveway often. And you should see the folks scatter when I back up in the mall parking lot.

Black 2000 SC short-box XLT. 4.2 V-6, 5-speed, 3.55 Limited Slip. Side steps, CD, remote entry, factory box liner. My add-ons: Older Windstar (driver's side) wiper blade - the one with the air scoop, because I don't slow down when it rains; "f150online" sticker and snazzy Tweetie Bird floor mats.

My second of the "new" F150s. Great trucks!

Shifter, where do you get those bulbs? Sounds like a good idea! It's hard to see in these big trucks, so any little gadget to help would be great.

To btr: Got mine at Canadian Tire, not much help to you living in North Dakota. Ask around at autoparts or Walmart stores. There's several types to replace the different styles of back-up bulbs. Figure $20 max.

Hey 54 how bout some Superwhite or Blue Ion Headlights, or some driving lights!!

I have the Blue Ions, and they look sweet in these trucks. Also have a set of Blue Ion driving lights on the way!!

Follow-up to btr and any others interested in the back-up "beeper". I found the box mine came in and it's made by Design Tech in Springfield Virginia. It's called the "Back-up Alert" and for late F-150s you need model 3156. Loud enough to do the job but not so loud as to PO the neighbours, if you live in the burbs. Just re-and-re either bulb and that's it.
