I heard about that a few days ago. All these bark humpers that are pushing this Climate Change crap down our throat are getting way too rediculous. The same folks that are pushing for these taxes will be the same ones whining like school girls when beef, cheese, milk, butter, etc go through the roof in price.

They will "demand" an explanation about the increase in price. The cattle farmers will not and should not "eat" this tax. They will not let it hurt their bottom line. The tax will be passed along in the form of higher prices of beef and dairy products.

When will people realize this crap is just a huge money making hoax perpetuated by ALGORE to line his pockets. One of these days we will tell our kids how rediculous the Climate Change scam was. Remember, there was a time when people laughed at anyone who thought the world was round too!!

Global warming has been disproved... it was fairly easy actually. The earth is in fact cooling at the moment. Wahlah... no global warming. So the bark humpers have changed the name to Climate Change.

650 international scientist disagree with you and everyone else who thinks it's man made!

yes i am sure that there are other natural events happening but the majority is humans. tell me how all the coal plants in the mid-west and east coast especially china are good for the earth and dont contribute to that.

im not being a greeny at all, i drive an f-150, my parents own 4 suburbans and an f-250 but i still believe we contribute a large portion to global warming

There you go with "global warming" again... How can it be global warming if the trend is cooling temperatures?

i dont see how the world is cooling. if it was cooling there wouldnt be all this talk about the ice caps melting and glaciers melting

i dont want to get into an argument over this at all, there will always be some body to disagree with something. 650 scientists still isnt that many

How do you figure?

Here's a concept...

Ok, the world was at one point in an ICE AGE. At the peak there was a crap load of ice, and massive glaciers were formed. MASSIVE. This wasn't some 3-4 period, this was a serious ice age.

Now, the ice age at some point had to end...therefor, the ABNORMAL amount of ice that had built up during that period BEGAN to melt. considering the AVERAGE WORLD TEMPERATURES it was only a matter of time (save for another ice age, or the Earth moving away from the sun) that the ice would have been melted due to surrounding temps around the world being higher than the temp needed to keep water frozen.

Still with me?

So, in other words, the stuff has been melting for quite some time. Now, it gets a little tricky here...so try and pay extra careful attention. Scientists do know for a fact that WHITE reflects light/heat... so clouds, for example, can help to reduce temps. Now, using the same logic, so could ice.

Now, over time, as the ice melts you lose some of the reflective action, which in turn creates (at some point) exponential warming. This WAS going to happen no matter what unless we went back into an ice age.

See how that all makes sense, without any c02?

That's all for now...I'll post more later if need be.

I don't think I could afford a fart tax. Just ask my wife, I would be paying about triple the normal amount.

I see you are in Seattle, so I think I can hedge a safe bet you love Obama, and Al Gore is your hero. That's ok, we can't all be right.

But to answer your question, no, not at all I do not think that emissions are harmless. I think it does harm the environment, but I do not think that "global warming" can be attributed to c02.

The several trillion dollar question, however is, is it America's burden to pay all these outrageous taxes and have its companies CRIPPLED and the economy toppled over even further while the rest of the world thrives and laughs at us? I guess for Obama and crew that answer is a little bit different than for myself...
