Cool Best Stories / Experiences

Hey, was wondering what kinda of stories people had out there in their trucks, from offroading to whatever.

I've covered my truck in mud offroading (breaking the valance, bumper, spotwelds (in cab), and soaking it).. driving home in that hurricaine going 70 on the NJ turnpike, that was scarry when it started to hydroplane, nothing like yer heart jumping into your throat.. That's when ya gotta slow down to 50, put that sucker in 4xwd high and stop the hydroplaning/fishtailing. Ah what else, raced another truck exactly like mine from north jersey to south jersey, breaking 100 and the speed limit, had to slow down to 75 in front of cops.

Well that's just about it, except for the occaisional driving over of curbs/islands and the like for better parking

Woah there cruiseman, didn't mean to offend ya, was just wondering what kinda crazy stuff people have done testing out their limits of their trucks. Not like I go around breaking my truck on purpose, that was a one shot deal when a bunch of us decided to go offroading for the first time....

Actually,
I was hoping people would have some stories of using their hefty trucks to pull stuck chevies out of ditches, something that you don't do every day...

Thumbs up

I got a neighbor that will "sometimes" lift a few to many beers and will do stupid things with his toyota truck. One Sat. he thought it would be a great idea to see how far his truck would go in our famous beach sand. Well he went as far as his momentum would let him and then the tires just kind of disappeared. I had to go pull him out. Then there was the night he didn't quite make this one turn and he rolled his truck. My husband had to drive his F350 and I had to take the beast also to get him out that time. My husband has an air compressor and the guys tires were flat and my truck is 4x4 (not my husbands) so I needed to pull it out of where he was stuck. Every time this guy calls, we wonder what he's done now and where we'll find him.
I never done any mudding with the beast, shoot, I get upset when it starts to rain and I don't have it in the garage yet.

1) Well....I almost pulled out the Sh*t Pumper truck at a Music Festival. He came in after two days of pouring rain and by that time all the campers had turned the trail to mush. I saw him come in and he never came back. The next time I saw him he was hooked to the back of a 80's vintage Ford 4X4 pickup. I was sort of dissapointed not to get a shot at it myself but glad to see a Ford get him out. Besides I didn't want to get my truck all muddy anyway.

2) I was at my Son's last Middle School Football game and because we were takin the after game snacks we pull down onto the field behind the fence with the assistant coaches and parked there. Unbeknow to us the High School coach went and locked the gate behind us because he was pissed we had parked there. It wasn't until after the game that we discovered he had blocked us in. We went and asked him for the key and he refused. I saw that the end of the stadium had a grass bank that went about 45 degree's straight up. It was steep. Only way I saw out so I went down the sidelines of the field between him and the stands About a 8 foot gap. I stoped in front of him, gunned the Super Trucks real loud and making sure no one was on the hill I wipped it up the hill in 4X4 high. The assistant coaches followed me in a small pickup and boy did they spin and throw dirt but they made it! I was afraid they wouldn't and I would have to stop and pull em up. They really tore some holes in his field. I guess since my kid is moving up to High School next year I am going to have to repaint or trade my truck so the High School coach doesn't recognize him and take it out on my boy next year. Oh well, good thing my pa in law is a body man!
