Post I want to hear from you...

I just wanted to tell everyone a little about me, and I would like to know more about everyone. I feel this might make the board a little more personal.

To begin with, I am a third generation F-150 owner. I would not have it any other way.

I am 30 years old, and I have been a fanatic since before I can remember. My mother told me the first word out of my mouth was FORD. The funny thing is, she told me I READ it on the back of a Ford truck. (no kidding)

My truck is the 26th vehicle I have owned. (Yes, I have owned more than one of each of the big three). I got my first ticket when I was 14, in my own car.

I retired my tools in '97 with these qualifications:

Four years formal education in Automotive Technology (Degree attained)

ASE Master Technician
Ford Electronics Specialist
Ford Drivability Specialist
Ford Transmission Specialist
G.M. Electronics Specialist
(I had to see how the other half lives)

I am currently employed by IBM corporation, and I intend to never leave.

I hope to start a business soon, I really want to get into high performance conversions.

They may be back a couple of pages by now but if you post in them it will bring them back to page one and recieve renewed interest form our newer members.

BTW owning a business is a LOT harder then it seems, but if you are truly commited to it, it's worth it.
Kiss the easy 9-5 life goodbye.

54reg-
Thanks for the advice, I'll be sure to take time for myself! I am taking things slowly. I'll keep you posted.

Guys, I love boating too! I will be back in the market for a boat soon. I sure do love to getaway to the lake. It's the ultimate stress reliever!

Selva- I love your web page, the Galaxie (my grandmother had a turquoise one just like it) and (of course) the F-150. Couldn't have picked a better color!

Do your headlight covers reduce light output? I have thought about something like that, but I think I will just go with clear marker lenses.

The headlight covers (projector beam style) do reduce light output a little, but much less than other covers I've tried. The three large clear spots let the light directly through

Cool, just curious. I have never seen that style on an F-150 before. Is that the kind you have to paint?

Hi Guys (and gals!)

I currently live in Virginia, my family's in Georgia.
I'm 41 years old and retiring from the military on Feb 2000!
This is my first new truck, but not my first truck!
My first was a 1969 Chevy Short Bed, 250 strait 6, three on the tree!
My last (before this one) a 94 Ford Ranger.
My wife of 20 years said it was about time I got a real truck!
I have two girls (one in college one at home)
Hobbies include building/upgrading computers and dreaming about upgrading my truck!
I'm fairly new to the site and am astonished by the wealth of knowledge shared here!
I'm sure this will be a lasting relationship!

Thanks... :-)
