Hello from SC!
Hello from SC!
My name is Harris and i am from Mount Pleasant, SC. I currently drive a 2000 Chevy Tahoe with a 6" lift and 35" mud grapplers. I am really wanting a '04-'08 F150 either king ranch or fx4. What are the main differences between the two? My requirements are a leather interior, 4 wheel drive, and crew cab. I will definitely do the leveling kit and 35s and probably a evo tuner and some sort of exhaust that isn't too obnoxious. But here are some pics of my hoe!

difference b/w King Ranch and FX4 are:
KR:
tan colored interior
shocks
tan bottomed
FX4:
grey/black interior
rancho shocks (to ford specs i have heard)
either solid color, or a gray bottom
so decide what color interior you want and that will be your decision of what you want.

but i agree i think fx4 more offroad, but technically both are equally capable

Basically, the KR is an "Upgraded" Lariat. The leather requires much more care than any other leather interior you may have ever owned or wanted. If you are up for cleaning and conditioning your seats and interior at least twice a year, then go for the KR. IF that is not your thing, go for the FX4. Both will serve you well, but one requires more care to keep it nice. I have owned my '02 KR for over 5 years now, and absolutely LOVE IT! I do not have any second thoughts about "using" it, as it is a truck, but, looking at the pics of your Tahoe, if your interior gets as dirty as your exterior, you may want to consider the FX4. Mud will not do these seats any favors, and will require alot of work to get them back in shape. The Lariat leather seats can just be wiped off and they are good to go. That is the difference in the leathers, otherwise, they are the same truck.
You can get some tremendous deals on either right now, but you're not going to get diddly in trade for your Tahoe probably...it's in the same category as the full size trucks.
Good luck

I mean nicer in that he would have more of an option for color interior as apposed to just the brown color.....but to each i his own ....
if you offroad alot, which it looks like you do i would get a FX4, will hide alot more stains and the KR leather is a PIA to take care off. my friend is constantly attending to his seats. my dad hasn't had a problem with his but he doesn't drive his truck as much as his motorcycles.
and a KR and Lariat are the same thing, just different seats, and maybe a accent or two inside. that is the only difference.
and also a side note, the KR leather shows "love stains"

the interior is the whole inside of the truck. so yes its tan with dark brown Castano leather.
