Im not the only person in Texas that likes the Florida teams?! Yes!

 

Florida did great this year. I didnt get to watch the first 3 quarters due to my stupid baby shower being on the same day, but I did watch the 4th and saw some great plays.

Still pissed that OU is going further than UT, but thems the breaks.

 

Whys that? OU has the number 1 offense this year. Out scored Texas in total points this year. Destroyed the team that beat texas, and beat OSU by 20 pts, when texas almost lost to them as well. Not to mention they had a record breaking season. Texas is good this year, but not as good as OU. Sure they beat them, but every team has a bad day. Ole Miss beat Florida, and everyone knows ole miss isn't National Championship material. Texas dropped the ball and lost to tech. OU stepped up and did what they had to do in order to get to the Orange bowl. Its their own fault that they aren't going to Miami.
With all that said, If you're just pissed b/c you hate OU and/or like Texas, then forget what I just wrote.

Oklahoma outscored Florida? Of course! They didn't have anywhere near the same level of competition that Florida had, and it's easy to score tons on a lot of teams from the Big XII that have no defense.

 

They may have the #1 offense but considering there bcs chanpionship record that really dont matter, what i am trying to say is, they choke in the big game and florida thrives on these games

I assume you didn't compare their schedules before that comment. Because if you did, you would see how OU played more ranked teams. Also BIG 12 South finished the season with 4 teams in the top 15. SEC East...... only 2, with Georgia rounding out the bottom at #15.

Let me break it down for you though. I'm not listing what they were ranked when they meet to play, just what they finished the season at, b/c thats their real rank. (i.e. LSU #4 when they played UF .)

UF schedule included 3 ranked teams. #4 Alabama, #15 Georgia, #25 Mississippi

OU's schedule included 5 ranked teams. #3 Texas, #7 Texas tech, #11 TCU, #13 OSU, #21 Missouri.



IORf150 you are correct though. It does seem that OU has not shown up 100% to bowl games. We will just have to wait and see this season. UF is my home team, so it is hard for me to want them to lose, but I have to go with my Sooners.
