Miles driven without a "Chargable Accident"

Awhile back I figured I had close to 1,150,000 miles without a chargable accident. This goes back to December 1962 when I got my first driver's license. This also includes 12 year's when I drove 18 wheelers. How is everybody else doing? Yeah, I'm a safety nut!

I got into an accident on the way to high school one afternoon while it was raining. The accident was caused by a motorcycle cop running a red light while mine was green. He didn't have a siren so I didn't even know he was there until he was in the intersection. Well anyways the guy next to me swerved into me and we slide to a stop in the intersection and the cop just looked at us quickly then grabbed a handful of throttle. Not my fault at all and nothing I could really do to avoid it. I am a very cautious driver and while I may drive like an idiot sometimes, anyone that rides with me finds that I am a safe driver.

I have no idea how many miles, but 51 years of driving with no chargeable accident. Been involved in a few, but always the other driver's fault.

I've never had a chargeable accident. I did hit a car in a snow storm back in 78, but we both had old cars and just drove away. Lets say 15k a year for 30 years, WOW, 450,000 miles.

I've been driving for 48 years. I have no chargeable accidents yet. I have had one ticket for "display of speed". I smoked the tires on my Hotrod Lincoln as I went around a drunk that was hitting the curbs on both sides of the road which was 4 lanes wide. The cop saw me but not the drunk- go figure. I guess I'm due but I hardly ever get in a hurry anymore.

Over 1,200,000 commercial vehicle miles with no chargeable accidents. Probably another 300,000 in private vehicles over the last 25 years, too. About 1/4 of those commercial vehicle driving miles have been city delivery miles with a 48 ft trailer.

That's key for this guy.

His commercial vehicle has blacked out plates and notice he didn't mention what's left laying in his wake.
