Hi to you all,

This is my first message to the board.I'm the owner of a F150 for over 2 months now.I want to thank everybody who contributed to the mailinglist, the messageboard and everyone who send me info and pictures of their truck.
There is so much information about the F150.Every day I'm still learning.Especially the topic about the 5.4 engine piston slap interested me very much. That's why I ordered the new 99 model. So far away from the US,i didn't want to have engineproblems.
If you want to see my truck and other info from Europe, you can visit my homepage.

Hope to be here more often, have plans for the truck in the future.

Greetings from Europe,The Netherlands
Ceesjan

Nice page! Since you can't find any fuel less than 95 octane there, I was wondering if you had installed a SuperChip? My F-150 runs AWFUL on anything higher than 87 octane (unless the SuperChip is plugged in.)

Hi Tina,

All parts have arrived, but the man who does the paintjob was on a 2 weeks vacation.
Hopefully this coming week everything is going to be fixed.

Hi Conqsoft,

I have no Superchip installed.
5.4 engine runs really smooth.

I have the 5.4l engine no piston slap
Is the truck hard to drive on the narrow roads over there?
You problably have the biggest vehicle on the road.

After 2 months driving around I'm getting used to the truck.
Especially the width of the truck.
I have to drive backwards into my garage.
So I have more space to open the driversdoor.
Couple of inches left on the mirrors. At first
I rotated the left mirror to have more space to get in.
Now I'm used to it.
No I have not the biggest vehicle,I know of 4 other FORD PicKUps in the area, alot of Chevy's,GMC and Dodge driving around too.
95 % of the PickUps is Chevrolet,I quess.
A fine truck too.
The Chevrolet Vans are very popular too overhere.
If you let go the gaspedal, the f150 is freewheeling for a long time.
Especially on the short distances overhere i have to brake a lot.
Have to think about that, letting go the gaspedal on an early stage and saving gas.

Red face

Yeah I got that freewheeling problem too.
I guess it's just another way for Ford to get those MPG #'s up.
