BB Storm is awesome. Whoever said texting is hard on it is an idiot. They're just used to a touch screen like an Iphone or HTC. It really does feel like you're hitting a button, so you must press the screen like you're hitting a button, not a "normal" touch screen. To those of you who have an Alpine W200 (or 205, etc), it feels like hitting a button on that. There was one at my Thanksgiving dinner. It was VERY easy to use (including texting), and that was before, during, and after my liquid diet. As long as they are reliable, I WOULD buy one.

The olny downside to the blackberry is the $30 manditory fee that is tacked onto your bill every month. None the less that gets your internet, email, ect.

Had the storm for about a week now...so far I do like it. I made the jump from the 8830 Pearl to the Storm, and yes, it does have some quirks and does take some getting used to, but then any new phone/computer/truck/whatever does have a learning curve.

I don't text very much, but do have 3 different e-mail accounts set to the Blackberry and the Storm is much easier to type on than the Pearl was. Much easier to look at PDF/Word docs on it than the other BB's I have tried. Since I have never used an Iphone, {just played around with a buddies at our kids soccer game} so I can't compare them. I don't think that the video play is as good as my Ipod Touch, but there again, that is a dedicated unit for that while the BB is a phone/e-mail device first.

If you already have a BB, then I think you would like it. There are some quirks that almost surely have settings to fix, ie I have to press the phone button for the phone screen to come up. I just have not looked long enough to find out. Most of the complaints I have seen were expecting the Storm to be the final chapter in phones and it is not. But it is a big step up and I think in the right direction.

What is the best Blackberry without a camera in it? We are not allowed cameras because our customers will not allow our engineers on site with cameras in many cases.

We used to have a no camera phone policy at Lockheed Martin being as we are building fighter jets that contain much classified information, but they lifted the policy since there are not many high end phones out there without cameras these days.

If you have verizon then the 8830 world edition is for you. It has all the nifty features of the blackberrys, can travel world wide, and doesnt have a camera.

Thanks, I will check out the 8830.
I currently have T-mobile but I think my company has a Verizon account as well. My 7105T is 3 years old now and is acting a little flaky.

yah, goto the 8800 series. They made the curve type with the camera, and the more business model with the wifi and no camera. T-Mobilemore than likely has the 8800 series phone as well.

Suprised that you are still on that old phone. That thing is older than dirt !

We do not get much choice and my company would not be happy if I "dropped" it just so I could get a new one. After 3 years though they will approve a new one even if the old one is still usable. It will be 3 years in January. I don't have to pay for it so I can't really complain.

I got the wife and I a Storm each on 12/24 (Met Michael Irving, former Dallas Cowboy who was buying some for his friends/family the same day- 12/24/2008) at the Verizon Wireless store.

He had a new Chevy Avalanche (We'll forgive him for that) with what looked like 24's on it.

Anyhoo, I'd gone to get my wife the BB-Curve and get myself the 8830, and they guy said, "We just got a bunch of Storm's in today...

Damn...

Well, there went the 8830 WorldPhone and the Curve.

It's taking some getting used to, being COMPLETELY touch screen. But, once I actually take time, sit down, and play with it- I'm sure I'll be as good on it, as I was on my Treo 650.

I'd be lying to you if I didn't tell you I don't have half-a-mind to go back and get a Curve.

If the 8830 had a camera on it, I'd have gotten it instead. I was willing to forego the camera if my wife had the Curve. But, I can't give her the Storm, then downgrade to the 8830.

Chalk up one soon to be new Crackberry addict. (Not addicted, yet...)
