More specs on your truck. And unless it was stock or didnt really race I highly doubt it.

i raced a cummins. i learned my lesson. but then again the guy did say it would out runs his wifes 02 vette.

 

Your truck is lifted and large tires. The truck had to be stock other wise you would in no way beat him. With a simple exhaust and tuner he could easily take you out.

Is your roushcharger intercooled?

yea it is intercooled.. all as i know is i saw black smoke come out of his exhaust and i stepped on it and i started pulling away slowly

 

cummins are way detuned from the factory but once you put a programmer on them they wake up and there is no way you could have kept up. My room mate has an 07 3500 dually with a 5.9 and he is running a straight and edge chip and bully dog programmer. We raced an 04 z06 and spanked it. They're freakin fast no doubt

 

I raced a Cummins once. I felt real bad when they pulled past my empty truck with that 20' car hauler. I could have beat him if he gave me a 30' head start and the Cummins was still pulling the 20' trailer with a tractor. I think. Well maybe a 40' head start.......

 

lol. And Jwool, you have to be kidding, a z06? Can anyone verify this is possible with just a tune and straights?

 

i can't verify with a z06, but like i said in an earlier post the guy i talked to said his 01 dually tuned w/ exhaust would beat his wifes 02 corvette easily. im sure with a few more mods a z06 could be smoked, remember that year z06 didnt have over 500 hp like the new z06s

 

My friend had an 05 Quad Cab Cummins with a Superchips tuner and straight pipe in place of the muffler. Although a quick truck indeed, there is no way it would be possible to beat a Z06 that was actually racing.

We never really raced, although one time (when we were both completly stock) I turned behind him as he turned from the other direction and we both punched it, probably from a 30ish MPH roll up to 70 or so, Im really not sure, but I was staying right on his bumper.

I did actually line up from a dig when his brother was driving it (mods in my sig and tuner/straight on the C) and blew the doors off it....the Dodge was stickin in 1st gear though
If it wasnt for that, that truck would fully blow my doors off.

 

ive beat my buddies cummins with an edge and injectors, and beat him, it was from a 60mph roll though
