Sharp 46" LCD for $900 at Dell.Com
www.dell.com has a Sharp 46" LCD with 1080P for $899.00 plus free shipping. We placed the order yesterday and delivery will be in 1 to 2 weeks.
My wife and I were going to buy a flat screen with our tax refund. We would replace a 10 year-old 32" Sony. We were considering a 42", 46", or
52". After visiting homes with all 3 sizes, we decided the 46" was our best choice.
We found the following chart on a previous thread;
http://www.cnet.com/1990-7874_1-5108...ag=hdtv;hdtv_l
Our viewing distance was 8' to 11'. The chart confirmed we had made a good decision.
Anyway, we decided the deals for 'Black Friday' were too good to pass up. We believe we saved several hundred dollars buying a few months early. We also get to watch all the Bowl Games on a really nice TV ;-).
We had already bought our son and his wife a new 32" Toshiba LCD about 2 weeks ago. This was an early Xmas present because our daughter-in-law was having knee surgery last week and was expected to be off her feet for up to 6 weeks. If she was not scheduled for Surgery, we would have waited until after Thanksgiving to purchase. The Toshiba dropped about $35 for 'Black Friday'. We paid $532 total on 11-17. It was $495 total on 11-28 at www.compusa.com.
We are wondering if other people are starting to make big household purchases after Thanksgiving because of the big discounts. Our purchase had nothing to do with Xmas. It was simply a good deal on something we would eventually buy anyway.
Any thoughts?

Enjoy the screen. I have 3 in my house (52" Panasonic Plasma, 46" LCD Toshiba and a 42" Toshiba). I also replaced a great playing Sony. Well I just moved it to a different room, lol. Which model Sharp did you purchase?
