This gentleman's opinion of his Ford F150 is not much different than some members of this board have of Chev & Dodge and he is not bothering anyone here so why not let him have his opinion without someone having to get this guy. Come on people, with the Ford product we have there is no need for us to be this defensive.

Good Lord! he bought this truck without a test drive? based on how his older model ran? If he doesn't like that console, he should have gotten bucket seats...the console doesn't flip up...but then again, a test drive woulda pointed that out.

He's full of crap if he says he's getting 14.5 mpg.. my 97 lariat at the 4.6L v8 and on the highway I was getting in the twenties, and I had 4X4 ORP...I don't know what I got in the city. Using the 4.6to tow god knows where up what hills, he should be lucky he got that much...

Cloaker, the guy's a jerk. People like him don't deserve to drive a truck with any class. I wish Ford would give him his money back. Then again if he feels abused, maybe he'll say out of Fords!! BTW I've never got better than 14mpg. (AC always on)

Andthensometoo,

My 97's center console locked. It has a strap that you had to pull.

I really wish people would research a little better. I own a 98 F-150, and my console definitely locks. Many a times I've had people get in and try to flip up the center without pressing the black button on the left side first. And just the other day I hopped in my brothers 99 GMC Sierra work truck and got sexually assaulted by the seat belt latch. There are pros and cons with every truck, and preferences for each and every consumer. There's not one truck that can fully satisfy the consumer, but they can get close. I figure that's shown in the sales numbers.
