Post I love chevy trucks

Why does everyone hate chevy trucks, I happen to love them. On the 4 hr. one way drive that I make on weekends, I get bored. So I just start counting chevies broke down on the side of the rode. I enjoy them, they give me something to do and I do alot of laughing on the way home. They make me happy. Last weekend yall should have seen the look on the drivers when I waved at him while laughing. He was being pulled by a 97 F-150 on the interstate, going about the speed limit. He was in a newer chevy s/c. I would say 94 to 98. If it was running I would have looked for daytime running lights, meaning that it would be a 96 or newer. I bet this post fooled alot of people.

You didn't fool us. My wife and I noticed just today; of the three vehicles we saw broken down on the side of the road, 3 out of 3 were Chevies! I like to park next to them. Guess who's truck looks better?

I guess Chevy has replaced American Motors as the most likely to break down, now that all of the old AMCs have died and gone to hell. One time (about 1980) I was driving over the Grapevine heading into LA in the middle of summer. Of the overheated/broke cars on the side of the road going my way, 5 out of 6 were AMC! Hard to do since they only comprised about 1% of the cars on the road. That being said, I wouldn't mind having a cherry '68 Javelin in my garage.

Thumbs up

The other day, killing some time, my husband & I passed by the "Jeff Gordon Chevrolet" dealer. I spied a rather impressive truck they had parked on the side and wanted to stop and look at it. They wouldn't sell it to me though. Seems it was used to pull their large trailers with their show cars on it. By the way, the truck was a Ford

I like Chevys, for breakfast

As for Dodges, heh, I was in front of a dodge at an intersection, and his alarm kept going off. Light turned green, and his horn kept honking and lights flashing. What a laugh!

I like the Bowties too as well. I guess I have to considering my dad has 2 of them. What I can't figure out is that he worked for FMC for almost 10 years and now he drives the competition! Weird. Anyways. I cannot figure the deal out with the 5.3L. Everyone I talk to says that the 350 was a better engine. Didnt Chevy replace the 327 with a 350 back in the late 60's. Now they replace the 350 with the same (enhanced) engine? I don't get that at all. Of the BIG 3, ford was the only one that brought out a new motor(s). Crazy!

If they are not broken down on the road they are parked in the front yard with "for sale" sign's on them! The other day I counted 5 on the way home from work!

I guess thats why the parts are so cheap and easy to find. They're in high demand. That means "job security" to many people.(mostly chevy lovers I bet.)

Was pulling into the parking lot this morning at work, and saw a brand new Chevy 4x4 extended cab bottomed out on a small grassy hill between the parking lot and a side road. Two kids having a little fun got it stuck. I pulled the Chevy off with my F150 then went into work.

Could have happened to anybody, but it made my morning :-)
