I get 14mpg( 25%city/75%highway) with my 97 4.6 S/C LWB 2wd. Winter is coming. Last year I got about 2mpg less on winter blend fuel.

I average 16, sometimes more, and mostly do short trips around town. (10-20 miles.) I rencently got the K&N filter, and switched to synthetic oil, and gained almost 2 more mpg's. That's about 45 miles more per tank. work's for me. Oh yea, flowmaster probably helps some too.

I agree with 54RegCab, just revive the other Mileage topics. When there are duplicates or "triplets", it just takes up space and makes for slowing loading, etc. Just post the question in one the other mileage topics.
My mileage is 15 city and 20 highway

I have settled down in to the 12-13 range after break in. I had a low of 10.12 city and a high of 20.12 city. I still get around 20 on the highway at about 70mph.

It costs me about 30 bucks to fill up every week-week and a half now. I guess you have to pay to play.

Question

I'll bet the type and amount of tire tread makes a difference. Does anybody know? Some 2WDs are getting over 20mpg. I know they weigh less, but they don't have all terrain tires do they?
