Post Finally did it!

About a month ago I traded my 98 Ranger 4X4 for a l999 Mazda Miata. Today I made my first mod - bought a 99 F150 4X4 Reg Cab, Sport model with a 4.2, 5 speed and 3.55 rear end. I can once again go to Home Depot without fear. The 3.55 is open and I need to convert it to limited slip. Anyone have any idea how much this will cost and how difficult it will be to do?

See "other drivetrain"
You think you have slip problems I have the same 3.55 but with a 5.4L engine.
BTW How could you even think about a Miata after owning a Truck?

Ouch, no Limitied slip! Be very easy on the gas when cops are around!

54Regcab,

Have you had your truck in rain yet? I bet it is a pain with the tires spinning with a feather on the gas

Have owned many sport cars in past (911, RX7 Turbo and Cobra) so enjoy fast cars that handle well. Miata is a blast to drive and I planned to eventually get a truck. After taking Miata to Home Depot once, I realized I needed a truck now. Great excuse for buying one.
