Post Exact weight

Does anyone out there know the exact weight of their truck? I've been trying to find out the weight of my truck. Various brochures from Ford put the weight anywhere from 4,400 to 5,200. But I want a little more exact than that. I'm about ready to find a scale somewhere. BTW: Here's what I've got. 99 Lariat, 4x2, supercab, flareside, and 5.4L (I figure the other options don't effect the weight that much).

As have others, I have used the local landfill/dump, not real accurate but probably within 5%, the truck weighing stations on the Interstates, more accurate, but you have to talk nice to the Troopers to let you do it and a local heavy truck dealership (Navistar) who have to weigh out various combinations for fleet owners. Most good truck stops on the major Interstates also have scales, but you have to pay to get it weighed.
Hope that helps.
PS: I have found reading the literature and the stuff on your door sticker to be less than accurate by a bunch.

I went to a Public Scale in town and paid to get it weighed ($10).
I came in right at 6700 with family and a full tank of gasoline. I needed to know the weight before I bought my trailer. If you are going to tow, you need to know.

I have a 98XLT SC with the 4.2L and I weighed out at 4680 on a scale at the local trucking yard. I would assume it's pretty accurate within 2 to 4 percent. That was me and a full tank of gas, I weigh 200 and 25 gallons of gas at 8lbs per gallon estimate 4200 lbs plus or minus 2 to 4 percent. This was pre tonneau cover.

I went to the closest truck stop on I-94 and paid $7 to find out it weighs 4,680 lbs with a 1/4 tank of fuel and w/o me (~200 lbs).

Andthensometoo,
I beg to differ about the heaviest truck there... I think my 4X4 with cap has got you beat in that department.
After seeing some of the vehicles that made runs, I don't think I'll be so apprensive about runnin' my big 'ol 4X.
I'll be looking forward to seeing my truck on your web site in the future so thanks in advance for taking pictures.

I weighed in at 4650 lbs at the local dump the other day. That's w/ 3/4 tank of fuel,
without me in the truck.
