Angry Die Mustang DIE!

Well I just had a nice cruise during lunch and I figured I would share this with everyone. Sitting at a light some punk kid pulls next to me in his mustang and asked me if I wanted to race.. uhhh duhhhhhh.. but anyways I said ahhh what the hell and decided to just see what my nice 5.4 triton can do for me.

Well I got him off the line and held for the first 2 gears and then he pulled away. Well Like I didnt know that was going to happen. So we hit another light I said to him "Okie now my turn. How about if I put a rope to your rear and and lets see who can pull each other further" Well he didnt like that very much and burned off. Well guess what.. In my book I WIN .. hehehe

I work with a guy with a Z71 and I had my '98 4x4 who he made me the same offer. I told him sure but keep in mind do you have enough power to spin the tires? He replied "Yes." I said so do I. So at this point it becomes a traction contest being we both have the power. I'm not interested in selling Goodyears so I'm not even gonna engage my 4-wheel drive. Instead I'll let my rear tires throw every rock at your "rock" and I'll concede the "win". Lemme know how your repaint turns out.

I troll for little punks like that all the time. Hope he doesn't know the difference between a Lightning and anything else. I think I could take him about 2 cars off the line and about 3 at the other end.

Hheheh those lightnings are sweet trucks.. though I always liked the full size.. With the money I saved on this used f150 and everything with all the aftermarket stuff i am going to put on.. supercharger included.. I am hoping to pull 12-13's in the 1/4

Well lightnings are also low to the ground.. and doesnt have extended cab.. atleast everone that I have seen.. In my honest opinion (which doesnt mean ****) the lightning is more of a sport truck then a pickup truck..

But I also have believed trucks should go up in the air not get slammed to the ground .. hehehe .. but this is why i am a moron and dont have any friends.. J/K

White Knight, I agree about lowering trucks. But I can appriciate the people that do, cuz it just makes my truck that much more special to me. Some trucks look good like that (if they "finish" it off with other mods)but I would never want to own a lowered truck. I have gotten out of many a jam by driving over curbs ect.
In my opinion, the lightning is a "Pick-up-and-go Truck"!

What you are seeing is the ground effects put on it to help make it handle well and achieve 140 MPH. They only dropped the front 1/2 inch (I know you can't see that) and the back 2". Everything else is the same as any other single cab 2WD F150 that comes of the line. If I seem crappy about it its just that this is a truck, unlike the Typhoon or Syclone which had NO towing or hauling ratings. They were cars disguised in a pickup body.

Oh lighten up! I'm just jealous. I was refering to Trucks that are "only" lowered. I love the lightning, but it just isn't practical for me, and thats what seperates the lightning owners from every one else. Well, that, and you guys calling it a 99.5. Mine was "born" in Aug. 98 and I don't call it a 98.5

Wink

Well all and all I just cant consider the lightning a truck truck that can do heavy work.. I have always though of trucks to tow/plow and do commercial stuff.. the lightning is more of the truck for people that like fast cars but Want to haul there furnature around
