Post Towing

Help! I'm looking at buying a real truck(I now drive a Ranger). My questions is about towing. I pull a 29' travel trailer w/7600dry weight(with my in=laws van), I've had people tell me a 150 with tow package and 5.4 engine will do the job. I don't tow a lot, couple of weekends a month and maybe 200 per trip. This will be my every day truck also. Any info will be helpful

Thanks

Cool

For towing that kind of load you may be pushing the limits of the 150, look into a 250 LD 5.4L or a 250 superduty with V10. The LD will give you a better ride. The superduty 5.4 is the 235 HP version so I would suggest the V10. Good luck and Happy hunting.

Talking

My 5.4L F150 towing max 8700lbs.
An F250 would be a better choice though since you will be towing regularly.
