Post Handling Comparison Between Models

I am undecided between SC short bed, reg cab short bed, and reg cab long bed.....How do they compare in ride and handling..??...any noticable difference in mileage because of the weight difference...???

Carl: I've the flairside, so no choice there on bed length, it's short. I've also the SuperCab because of 1 dog and 2 kids. Plus on any long trips the husband will crawl back there and sleep. I would really like to have that new 2000 Super Crew F150 they're coming out with but will wait to test drive a real one first. As far as the ride of my beast. It rides fantastic. I used to own a Toyota 4-Runner that could shake grannys teeth out of her mouth!! And extended trips were cause for divorce. MY Ford is a pleasure to drive whether just to the grocery store in bumper to bumper traffic or to visit family in other states. But I would recomend at least the SuperCab for added space. As far as the length of the bed.... Depends on what you plan on using the truck for. You have to decide on that. About milage: I get around 17. That can be bumped up to 19-20 if I just wont race anyone at the light. So milage on my beast is great.
