Wireless driveway alarms?? Anybody??

I'm interested in acquiring a wireless driveway alarm for our property. Our house is situated such that it is not convenient to see nor hear anyone pulling up to the house

So I did some looking around and found this for $12 on Amazon, which has mixed reviews. For what it's worth, the MSRP from the manufacturer is around $29. For that kind of money I may as well give it a try.

The house is about 200-250' from where I want the transmitter to sit, sounds like I may be borderline after skimming through the Amazon reviews.

OR should I just pony up $150 for this bad boy?

Anyone have experience one way or the other?

I want to stay away from the pressure sensor, service station type. Unless of course I can throw a wireless signal to the house, I would consider that. Just don't want to have to run power or a signal line down to the end of the driveway.

This is what I have.

I bought it about 4 years ago. Still works fine. Changed batteries once (AA X 4). I would say it works 95% of the time. Picks up animals, including birds that sit on top of it.

That looks like a good little unit. The reviews on Amazon seem to indicate that as well. Do you know if you can add a second receiver?

I would feel more comfortable paying a bit more for what seems to be a proven/reliable product. Thanks!
