Vista SUCKS.

Vista came with my Dell E1705 and it sucked majorly. It was slow to open files and used a TON of system resources. I ditched Vista for Ubuntu (Linux) and liked that quite a bit more. After running Ubuntu for a while and complaining about not being able to stream files to my Xbox360, a friend suggested I give Windows XP Ultimate by Johnny a try. I first tried the June08 version and it was good, now I run Windows XP Ultimate by Johnny Sep08 version.

Other than XP Ultimate being an illegal copy, and possibly loaded with malware (I've seen releases of XP online like this that are loaded with software + malware), what benefits does it have over a standard/slimmed down copy of XP?

I use the link above to clean up friends' computers when they're trashed. When you follow it step by step, it works quite well. Also, I use AVIRA antivirus as well. It's probably my favorite of the big 3 free antivirus software.
