The sky is falling ! The sky is falling !

I'm just glad we have an intelligent new president to help us out.

No one man is going to make or break our country. If this were true, we would already be history, after the presidency of this last idiot.

But maybe, just maybe, Obama might be able to make some positive differences. It's hard for me to imagine that he could screw it up any more than Bush did.

It could have been worse..... We could have had the ancient McCain get voted in..... die shortly thereafter, then have that goofball Palin as our president !

America decided. And the best man won.

Peace,
Fish

You will realize one day the Bush was not the horrible President he was portrayed to be. It won't be soon, but history will be much nicer to Bush than you will. Now that you have gotten what you wished for the real ordeal begins. No more excuses for the Dems. Some things will get worse and some things will get better.

Obama can not deliver on many of his promises. He is going to have a hard time appeasing his base. At no time has the saying "be careful what you wish for" been truer.

you are right, no one man can break this country, but one man with the full support of the house and senate can. Nuff said.

but what we have proven is that white people in general now take the title as one of the dumbest races on earth, i knew the chances of that guy winning were likely because well people are just gullable, but after seeing the maps it turns out half the population is out of its mind......

Very well said. I hope that a lot of Obama supporters man up in about 3 years and admit the put that joke in office.

NBC keeps saying it's only been 4 years since he was a STATE senator. I don't know about anyone else, but that just shows me he's going to have a lot of favors called in when he goes about making his Cabinet/other Executive branch appointments. Everyone is going to have their hand out, starting from the top down.

Did you see this article on the WSJ? http://online.wsj.com/article/SB122584386627599251.html

I'll quote the ending...

Our failure to stand by the one person who continued to stand by us has not gone unnoticed by our enemies. It has shown to the world how disloyal we can be when our president needed loyalty -- a shameful display of arrogance and weakness that will haunt this nation long after Mr. Bush has left the White House.

Well.....

I had not even expected to give a further reply... But their are a few good points here, to which I must concede....

Good point.

NCSU, I have to admit, I've been extremely hard on Bush...... Even after I have said, "No one man can make or break the country". Maybe I've been a bit hipocritical. I mean, of course not all of this country's problems are a direct fault of Bush. No doubt these are very tough times for whoever is leading this country. Maybe the state of this country will end up making Obama look just as bad. We will see.

Peace,
Fish

Couldn't be said better. People blame everything on Bush but there was a Democratic Majority in the House and Senate in 2007. Looking back, there was no big stock market crash, housing crash, huge raise in oil prices until then. Kinda makes you wonder huh?

Your right, but one in the White House, 54 in the senate and 248 in the house will.

The ones President Elect Obama will appoint (3 of the 4 Rep. Supreme court justices are 80 or older) will. We really don't have any checks and balances left.

NCSU, we have had our disagreements, but I agree 100% with what you posted. It makes my blood boil thinking about the bad rep he got. My favorite part is when you hear someone complaining about Bush, or saying that he is the worst president in history, you ask them to name some examples, and they do an obama, Ummm uhh uhhh..... Guess some people are giving up on thinking for theirselfs, and just going with the flow. Wonder what the next band wagon is going to be???

Good grief! Several hours? Shame on him! Do you realize that for several hours, the secret service had him so covered up he could hardly breathe? Your statements are the type I just can not get a grasp of, and just shake my head.

A speech, what would that do? When you have just been attacked it would be a better idea to find out what the hell is going on and preparing to defend against any further possible attacks, at the time who could have known what was next?
