That's what I was thinking

Mine get bigger every year. I acctually just went shopping the other day and bought a couple of hundred dollars worth of lights and things. I will start in the next week or two. It takes a few days to get everything wired. I also do the same for Halloween. I take advantage of after holiday sales. I just bought a ton of Halloween stuff all 50% off, I do this every year.. I do it for the kids, they are only little for a short time...

We add a little bit each year, usually hit up Target AFTER Christmas for the 50-80% off stuff and add a couple things. I believe we've got some lights to hang from the gutters, candles for the windows, a wreath or two. If Carl can pull out the championship, I'm going to put a giant 99 on my roof

Growing up we always decorated on December 8th, was a Holy Day of Obligation (Catholic) and we had the day off school. Now the wife and I fight every year over when the stuff goes up. What it boils down to, is if she wants ANY of my help she's got to wait until after Thanksgiving!

I rent, but I put up lights last year and again this year, on the mothers home. Came out real nice, simple and clean this year. And I'm just finishing up putting lights on the truck, out to spread some christmas cheer this year.

Neither will be turned on until December first or so, but I much prefer to do it while its warm.
