So you think McCain is going to win it next week?

This is the Real McCain, not the one they've been trying to sell to Conservatives the last 6 months.. Sponsering legistation that does Exactly what Obama wants to do seems pretty relavent to me.

I don't know who will win, to tell the truth.... I thought OSU was going to beat Penn State last week..

No one is trying to sell the conservatives something that it is not. People know who the "real" McCain is. Did you forget that it's not conservatives who picked him to represent the republican party? We are just now, a week before the election, getting a glimpse of the "real" Obama. There has been speculation for months but it's not untill now that we see that much of what people believed to be true about Obama, is. For all the flaws that McCain has, and there are many, he is far less a threat to this country than an Obama administration with a democrat supermajority in congress.

Bush has decided to steer this country twords socialism with the bail out. The congress, especially the democrats, jumped right on that band wagon. I think that Obama and the democrats see the current climate as a good time to further their extreme left, socialist agenda. It's bad for this country whether Bush does it or Obama does it. I think that though it wouldn't be perfection, and would only last one term, McCain would be the least detrimental choice this election.

We need better people representing us in our government. Though Obama may get a majority of the votes, I really don't think that his ideology represents even close to a majority of the people.

I believe that we will all be lucky if for the next four years the financial situation remains lean and hopefully there won't be a ton of our tax dollars spent on saving the planet. Maybe after four years it will be apparent to everyone, or at least most, that what is happening on our planet is part of a cyclical pattern that has been going on for millions of years and we can't fix it.

Wow.... something we agree on.

here where we might differ:

We need more parties representing us, with better people. This "choose between these two" is BS and gone on long enough. We need more choice. We need to give the boot to those lifers in congress, and get some fresh blood in there. We need to do something about lobbyist, and the politicians "secret agenda". No more making dirty, underhanded promises to get something. No more "deals with the devil". Its time to look out for the country as a whole, not just your own ***. We are in need of change, change neither party can, nor will bring us.

No, we don't need more than two parties. In fact any more parties will destroy this country faster than obama with a check book. If there are even 3 parties that are competitive, one party could win with 34% of the vote. There would be absolutly NO ownership of the people to the government. The anger and rife would be so high we couldn't stand it as a country. This country still likes winners. Look at the anomosity still of the 2000 election. It is more that the count was so close than the fact that Bush won. Look how we treat sports teams is a good anology. One team wins. The fans of the other team are mad, but they realize they lost. Put a third team in there, and people will be REALLY pissed off. And for good reason.

imo With another party would add one more election. So the winner would have a majority.
