Sorry for the delayed reply, Josiah.

I just don't frequent the boards nowhere near as much as I use to. Too much garbage, useless posts/threads, repetitive same-old same-old and whatnot within the last 6 months. Not [at all] like it use to be.

Anyway, that's just my opinion.... whatever.....

I'm not too sure how long points stay on your driving record here in VA but I should have elaborated a little further on the "clean driving" record thing I mentioned in my earlier post.

A clean driving is NOT a necessity to be a firefighter..... at least not here in VA.

We had about seven recruits in our academy who had various driving infractions over a 12-24 month span. All of them had to meet with the human resources captain, one-on-one, to explain the circumstances of the points accumulated due to speeding and whatnot.

NONE of them were refused a start into the academy due to the points they had accumulated.

However, in saying all that, I know for a fact that a suspended/cancelled drivers license in the past would not get you much further past filling out the application stage for the fire dept.

If your still looking for opinions I can give you the number of the 79 year old lady that got robbed today by two turds.

She's pretty happy we chased them down and put a case on em. ehh but what's one satisfied customer.

Of course there is also the lady that had her drunk husband threaten to kill her, their kids and burn down the house. She was pretty happy we locked him up got her and her kids a temp place to stay and got a restraining order for her.
