when i sold my 99 f150 i bought a 08 forester

2.5, 5 speed.

its a nice little car. i have never taken it off road, but the awd is awesome in rain and snow, and with the manual tranny, its fun to drive. so far i have 12,000 trouble free miles on it. i sure dont consider it a 'suv' but with the rear seats folded down, there is pretty good room in the back for hauling household stuff around.

i really miss my truck, but with gas prices what they are, i am real happy with this vehicle too.

are you on the nasioc forums at all? You can make those motors haul some major *** if you want to. No other 4 banger sounds as good as a subie.

A few years ago when I was living up in Chicago, I knew someone who was offered a job in Fairbanks AK. She went out and bought a brand new Forester - 4 banger, stick. One week later she's got a U-haul trailer hooked to it and on the road. Drove all the way with absolutely no problems with the Forester - the trailer was another story. The surge brakes kept kicking in when it got windy, by the time she got there the trailer brakes were smoked.
