Yeah, I did. You have a right to rant. You have a right to your opinion. I have no issue with that. - Og

The Keating issue is what really needs to be looked at again no matter who a person is voting for.

Keating
It's interesting how we percieve things the way we want to. I saw Obama stumbling when he discussed Ayers, with a look on his face that said"well, it finally hit the fan, wish I did not have to talk about this". Also, every question that he was asked, his answer was "spend more on it", buy our way out. Yet he says we need to cut expenses and that he can balance the budget. It's impossible to have it both ways.

It's interesting how we perceive things the way we want to. I saw McCain's entire head turning red. Every question McCain answered was, "Yeah, but did you know what Senator Obama did?" You can't have an across the board spending freeze and help autistic children and provide school vouchers. It's impossible to have it both ways.

BTW, did he actually slip and say the word breast?

I didn't hear it, if he did. Both of them are making promises that there is no way in the world that they can possibly deliver. That is why I hate elections and politics. I have wathed all of these debates, and it is the first I have ever watched a political debate. They are worthless.

I may have been swayed by the person that just answered the damned questions, but that didn't happen.

As an outsider who cannot vote I say McCain won that debate easily. I don't know how Americans cannot see through Obamas bs. I can't wait to see the comments 2 to 3 years from now. Just as opinions did a 180 on the war, this will too. Todays solution becomes tomorrows problem. When Obama starts this tax on big business do you think business won't look to Mexico or anywhere else they can build their product and compete? Expect higher unemployment. Not so much with McCain. Change sounds good until it happens and effects you. No one likes too much change. Look at new protocals in your workplace. Not usually accepted well when it means I you [/I]have to change. Obama bs ed his way this far by telling everyman what he thinks you want to hear with promises that can not be kept. I think you need a better man to turn your problems around. He will get elected though. Good luck...

You pretty well nailed it. I wish more "insiders" had your wisdom.

The keating issue has been fully investigated. The ethics committee stated: "The Ethics Committee ruled that the involvement of McCain in the scheme was also minimal, and he too was cleared of all charges against him. McCain was criticized by the Committee for exercising "poor judgment" when he met with the federal regulators on Keating's behalf. The report also said that McCain's "actions were not improper nor attended with gross negligence and did not reach the level of requiring institutional action against him....Senator McCain has violated no law of the United States or specific Rule of the United States Senate."

As a matter of fact the (liberal) investigator suggested removing McCain completely from the investigation/scandal as he found "no evidence" of McCain wrongdoing and he was unfairly charged. The ethics committee refused to remove his name but also found nothing wrong with his actions.

He only had to return several thousand dollars to cover all the Free Trips to the Bahama's he accepted and a couple other sanctions.

"Poor Judgement" sums it up pretty well.

Yeah, I'm glad Obama finally shut down this ACORN and Bill Aires thing. I though McCain's Head was gonna pop. He was just sitting there Shaking and turning Red.

McCain Really needed to win this one big, he definitely didn't do that. They've got Palin off the "interview" circuit. Good thing, she was just looking Silly.

I pretty much agree with your accessment Bighersh.

Trust me living here is like watching a car crash in slow motion. I can't believe he got this far and I can't believe it looks like he will pull this one off.

Sad thing is the Democrats will blame the next 4 years of hell on G.W. and claim Obama was dealt a bad hand.

Good post BTW

We're going to have higher unemployment no matter who gets elected. At least the Republicans will be able to blame Obama. You.d think they'd be happy about that as the blame Clinton think is getting old.

Shut Down? Good grief! He looked and sounded like a stumbling guilty culprit!
