No, never did figure it out. I suspect it's the fuel injectors. I replaced the ignition coils and it ran great and CEC-light-free for 3,000 miles but just recently that light came on again. I doubt the coils went back after 3k miles; they were new. Aftermarket, but new, from Global Automotive. I know that I've just hit 100k miles and my fuel injectors haven't been replaced since at least I owned it 50k miles ago, and I bet you not before. I heard they just physically wear out after 80k. They seem reasonable, if they're looser now and spray more fuel in.

as for the guy with the chevy...what is that like a 12 inch lift to fit 37s and the bumper valance is still trimmed.. we can do that with a 6 inch

the funniest part is that this is probably linked to a chev forum and they are all trying to make themselves feel better about there girly trucks.

ever seen a strait guy wear a bow tie? didnt think so

I'll never buy a chevy because that's all my dad ever drove. They either rotted out or started burning oil before they reached 100k miles. My kids girlfriends cavalier just blew a rod out the bottom of the oil pan and cracked the block with no warning. It was on its second head and it only had a little over a 100k.

Get the code read. It could be something really easy. 100k does not mean its time to replace the injectors. I have 205k on the originals in my van. They could last the life (250+k) of your truck.

Man I tell you I have owned them all and the one that give you the less problems are the Fords then Dodges, take it for what it worth but its true in the 30+ trucks I have owned.

To the OP.... Why did you get rid of that Chevy?? It looks pretty good and if that's the kind of truck you like, then why give it up??

Didn't you read the Ford Owners Manual in the fine print where it says ".... that if you traded in a nice looking CHEVY for this Ford, then you will have nothing but problems...."

In other words, once you are a Chevy guy, you MUST STAY a Chevy guy!!! You can't FLIP FLOP car manufactures like you are shopping for butter! How long have you been on this planet???

Didn't you read the fine print on your CHEVY Owners Manual??? Where is says "...now that you have bought a GM product, you must continue to buy GM products for the rest of your life because we (GM) are so stupid and let the Unions get away with robbing us blind and we now have a PENSION payroll larger then our current payroll and we don't make enough money to even cover the PENSION payroll each month now because we can't sell enough vehicles to cover our over paid EXECUTIVES and long retired employees any longer...."

My suggestion is to contact the person who bought your Chevy and see if you can't buy it back....

Mitch
