You seem like a clear thinker. A whole lot better option than what we have now. You can do it! Yes you can! - Og

I appreciate the kind compliment, but there are some things that just don't go together. Clear thinking and honesty do not go with politics. At least not modern politics.

I see today that Pelosi is talking about an $150 billion dollar stimulus after the election. What exactly did the first one do? - Og

True. Maybe I can talk you into it during the next election cycle. I was hoping since you were around when money was first printed that you would be the perfect candidate. Oh, well... - Og

That's also the reason I won't!

You're alright, Jim. I'm reworking my bill since the government is entertaining another stimulus plan. I'm sure mine will be better. - Og

hows this.

divide the 770 billion given to a few corrupt companies, and divide it equally among citizens who have paid into the system over the past several years.

what ever that total comes to, require the citizens who get a check, to spend said check on stupid crap to spur the ecomony.

i'll buy gold plated toilet seats, heated outdoor water faucets, and hand woven carpets for my house (of course all made in america).

that outta spur the ecomony a bit.

If every American is already $85,000.00 in debt to the defecit what would this make it? Maybe everyone could use the money to pay off their portion of the debt and the country would have no debt. I wish I had thought of this sooner. I just need a loan to pay off my loans and I'm free and clear. I see a new truck in my future.

We owed $1431 in taxes to the US government for 2007.
The IRS said we were due (as a married couple with one child) $1500 in stimulus.
We received a letter saying our stimulus check was on the way.
We received a second letter stating the stimulus had been applied to our outstanding balance.
That means we were due $69 in change.
That check never came.
True story......go figure

The stimulus that already went out was pretty much useless and a ploy to make people forget about all the stupidity that the government has put the american people through in during Bush's term.

Honestly what can $600 do besides buy a few tanks of gas? That's not going to create any long term solution for anyone. I just added that to my normal payment on my truck and didn't think twice. Woo one less payment for me!

The Stimulus helped offset what we gave the oil companies.
That is about it
