HOA loser at it again

I've heard some horrible HOA stories on here, but this one just takes the cake.

Wow, this *******er should have some respect. I can't believe that he is unable to comprehend the situation that this soldier is in right now...
I'm glad that the neighbors are helpful though, as well as his co-workers that are kind enough to pitch in with working on his property a bit. I know I would gladly help out someone serving our country.

Yep, that's clearly a joker who has never worn, or who has never had anyone in his family wear a uniform.

I know the Sailors and Soldiers Act protects service members as well- I'm glad his fellow employees pitched in, and that a neighbor also lended some advice.

PS: Remember that guy in Frisco, TX that someoen posted a month or two ago that brought the wrath of his HOA down upon him because the F-150 in his driveway wasn't "classy" enough to be parked on the property overnight.

He lost his appeal, even with the local news running the story.
It seems he bought the F-150 for his son. I guess Junior is going to have to get an apartment, or Dad will face a possible lein being put on his home by the HOA.

I can see the benefits of the HOA (neighborhood looks nice), but I can also see the problem (vehicle discrimination, landscape, satellite dish positioning, etc..).

I would like HOA's if level headed, down to Earth people ran them. Have the benefits of a nice looking neighborhood without some of the RIDICULOUS rules some of them just pull out of their asses.

This guy sounds like a *****, but I can see where he is coming from. He is potentially losing a ton of money in property values. That being said, he should have some sympathy for the guy. It is circumstances beyond his control. I'd agree with the HOA completely if they guy and/or his wife was still there and hadn't done anything to landscape the property.

HOA's can be a pita, but they can protect your investment as well. For example, the neighborhood that my parents moved into had several rules for building, the house front must be brick, no chain link fences, no RV's parked in front or on the street, and a few others including landscaping. Some people moved in and won't landscape across the street, on top of that they have a demo-derby car parked next to their garage (against city rules) and down the street someone put up a chain link fence. Now parents are trying to sell their house, and the agent told them they could list it for 10-15k more if they could get the HOA to enforce the rules and "clean up" the neighborhood.

That must be the same guy that moved away from my neighborhood.

Cool guy, but had to much CRAP for the city. He had a dirt-track car, and parked it on the grass between his house and my house, 4-wheelers, and all kinds of s**t in his yard. Not to mention the big, dirty/muddy 4WD Silverado, the travel trailer, etc...

There's a place for that kind stuff- it's called, buy property in teh country, and move out there...

I never called on him, but our neighbords weren't as forgiving it seems. I came home from work one day and he was packing it up. I asked what was up, and he sid he was moving back to the country because too many people were complianing to the police about his toys.

For the 18 months he lived there, I WISHED we were in an HOA.
