That's pretty impressive power numbers for sure. But after seeing 3 5th gen camaros in person and sitting in one of the mules I'll still take the Camaro over the Charger. The Camaro is similar in pictures but in person it has more body lines and doesn't look as bland as the Challenger....(stock to stock apperance)

Heck yea the new Camaro v6 is supposed to keep up with or out perform the mustang GT and it doesn't look like a base model either. It is hard to tell the v8 version from the v6 version. Ford needs to come out with something new soon for the GT as the camaro should be hitting the streets early spring. Way too late I don't see Chevy selling a bunch of them due to very bad timing but oh well.

Yeah, the specs say the V6 BASE Camaro will have 300 HP.

A far cry from the 1991 V8 Camaro RS I ordered, then (stupidly) passed on in 1991, with the 305 cu. in. V8 and an astonishing 180 HP. Heck, back then the 5.7L V-8 Z-28 only had 250 HP.

Now, we have V6's pumping out 300, with no assistance from a supercharger or turbo. The heyday of muscle cars?

Not teh 1960's, my friends- we're living in them today... Everything from Honda Accords to sports cars are at or near 300 net HP, not gross as it was back in the day...

I know I'm kinda ashamed of my 02 WS6 only having about 360-370 at the motor. I would mod it more buy I'm trying to keep it somewhat stock since I don't plan on getting rid of it.

After seeing the new camaro I'm thinking about getting one in a year or 2. I noticed when looking under the car there is ample room to fit a turbo or a charger to it. They left a lot more space in the engine bay this time around With the 4th gen you pretty much have to make room with the BFH mod.

Shouldn't it do better than 11.9x @121 if it really has 620 hp?

I know its hard to launch that much power in a street car, and maybe this was not an optimal pass, but still...
