NASCAR Race talk

What happened???? I go to bed with like 45 laps to go (Didn't want to dangit, but had work in 5 hours.), things were looking good for Jr. Then I check online and saw that he finished 28th. Dangit, so angry. I saw something saying Edwards was bump drafting someone, bumped to much, and caused a pretty good wreck, but thats all I know. Also, heard the finish was controversial.
Any insight?

edit: ESPN is replaying the whole race right now. Guess I'll get to see it for myself.

Guess all the NASCAR fans are asleep. Dang night shift. Anyway, great race. Looked like JR. went high to avoid the spinout, but the wreck climbed back up the track. He got caught in the middle. Dang, well atleast Kyle B didn't win . Not a big fan of stewart/JGR either.
Looks like I answered my own question. :

Anyone catch the truck race and hear them yapping about passing below the yellow line at 'Dega was an anything goes as long as it's the last lap?

#48 JJ was quoted as saying he would've done the same thing as #01 because of watching the truck race and hearing that.

Supposedly, the drivers were told anything goes on the last lap. I guess going below the yellow line is not considered "antything".

Edwards bump drafted in the corner and caused a 12-15 car pileup. with 14 laps to go. He's probably in hiding right now. He manned up after the race and took responibility, apologizing.

Didn't watch the trucks, but the announcers where even saying that, right after it happened. They were like, " I believe thats legal here on the last lap." They didn't know either. I feel bad for 01, he should of just turned into 20, or held his spot, when the 20 car dropped down to force him off the track. Then 20 would of spun b/c the 01 was under him a little, not just behind him.

The 01 faked a move going high, Dinglebutt just didn't take the fake. Would have been interesting had he really gone high.

Fast forward to about the 8:20 mark.

Too bad for TEI but if the #01 had hooked the #20, for the next week, all we would've heard out of his mouth was how some stupid rook turned a 2 time champ. Oh well, guess subway will have to make another commercial since tubby didn't climb the fence to space.

:

Can't watch the video because I'm at work, but I'll check when I get home.
I could see #20 crying about getting spun even if it was his fault.
If I'm not mistaken here, this is what I saw:
01 faked a move to the top, causing 20 to move up a little to block.
then 01 dropped down real fast and tried to take the inside
then 20 dropped down as well, but the 01 already had some fender on the inside, so the 01 was forced off the track.
Now Im not saying the 01 should of turned up track into him, but if the 20 is gonna try to force him off the track, then I wouldn't see anything wrong with the 01 just staying there and letting the 20 get spun b/c he turned his left rear into the 01 right front.
Wish it would of happened just so I could hear tony's comments after the race.

Bowyer got 5th/6th, still unsure of where they're putting smith. Crazy race in the last 100 laps. I thought we were gonna have another brickyard. Pissed me off to see gordon get collected early...

The make them up as they go rule book is my biggest gripe with NASCAR. Hell, just show me any published rule book! I tried to follow a the races a few years ago but soon got tired of not knowing what a driver can and can not do.
