jack suggestions

Bought an 01 4x4 that doesn't have the jack or any of the jack accessories.

Looking on eBay a 'complete' kit runs about $50 plus shipping. I couldn't tell for sure if it had the piece to raise / lower the spare.

The truck has 35s on it so if I go with the factory kit I'll probably have to pack a block or something to use as a spacer to get the jack up high enough to get the truck off the ground. Probably dropping down to 285s or 295s soon but assuming that would still be a problem.

So I was thinking about getting a high lift jack with the bumper attachment.

Any advice / suggestions?

Go with the Hi-lift. You can use it for more things than you can imagine, plus they are made in the USA. I know because they are made in my town! (around here we just call them Bloomfield Jacks)

if your changing tires, i do not recommend the high lift. i bought a cool jack from pep boys that i have in my tool box. its like a jack stand with a build in jack. it goes up to like 24 inches i think. with the highlift you have to lift your whole rear off the ground or the whole front (if you can find a way to lift the front)

What's the difference in Hi-lifts and regular old farm jacks like they sell at Tractor Supply?

i think mines a tractor jack from northern tool. its rated at like 7500 pounds or so. but it had a picture of a truck on the box and they had an offroad mount for it. so i dont think really any difference
