Are clear strobes legal?

I can't find anything online with a definate answer... I'm trying to figure out if clear strobes in my front corner lights would be legal in Ohio. Obviously only for use in adverse weather conditions (winters just around the corner,) and the like. Can anybody enlighten me please?
Thanks!

I don't think ANY strobes of ANY color are legal in ANY state unless you are fire, emergency, or law enforcement type.

Here is a link to Ohio vehicle equipment regulations. I skimmed through it and did not see anything about strobes but prolly worth a look for you.

Blinking white lights....Not sure if I would want to try that one. Might be a little too much like a popo.

No, they aren't legal.

Additionally, if their sole purpose would be to alert drivers in adverse weather conditions you are going about it the wrong way. Many studies have proven "emergency lighting" what is found on emergency vehicles and what you have described can actually "draw" drivers towards you or your vehicle, kinda like the moth to a flame idea.

Why would you want them on the front of your truck? I would think you would want them on the rear so people can see the back of your truck. Your headlights should be PLENTY bright enough to alert oncoming traffic of your presence in snow/rain. If you are that concerned then stripe out the rear of your truck with a bright two color chevron pattern, that is proven to be most effective. If you are totally sold on the strobe idea, then go with amber, prolly still not legal, but that color is proven to be "safer" than white, red or blue. I would also put them in the rear reverse lights and not on the front.

Well I appreciate all the heads up guys. I think I'll just call city hall/police station and get a for sure answer. What I don't get is that they're advertised like crazy in my AW Direct Work Truck catalog. They have them shown on tow trucks and dump trucks. I see them all the time around here even in just construction vehicles, trucks etc. That's what I don't get. I'm definately not looking to use them for anything even close to illegal.

it is illegal to run strobe lights on the road for any reason unless you are fire, police, or rescue. running them offroad is fine, but, say for instance youre in a bad fog and you pull off the side of the road, turn all lights off and youll be safer.

That's what I thought. But it's still probly not a good idea for me to install them I guess, even though my kit is sitting right here lol. But my amber Firebolt Stobe that I keep under my back seat can't possibly be illegal anywhere.
