Comparing Code Alarm and Clifford
Comparing Code Alarm and Clifford
I just wanted to see what everyone's opinion is. I am leaning towards ordering either a CA671 or SRT 9000 from Travis at KC Autosound. I am also looking at Cifford either the Concept 471 or Matrix 12.2. The features are varied on each of these so that has to be a personal decision. I want to know what everyone thinks of the quality of the two brands in general when compared to each other. Also I know for each type of sensor there seems to be different technologies that can be used. As far as I know I need a tilt, glass breakage and shock sensor(any other suggestions would be welcomed). Are the sensors that KC Autosound provides just as good as anything else that another alarm would use. More specifically as compared to Clifford alarms. Ordering through KC Autosound and doing the install myself will be much cheaper than anything. I am just seeing if there is any better quality or technology that would make Clifford a better option..
Go with the CA671. I have that one myself through kcautosound.com. Even have the same sensors as you with the tilt and glass breakage. I also have the Car-Link module so that I can start my vehicle with my phone from anywhere. Comes in handy when I'm at the movies or in a store and my remote is too far away or if I left it in the vehicle. I just call it up and start it. I do like the SRT9000 for the "bling" factor and extended range but I love being able to disarm my alarm with the keypad on the door. Just throw the keys under the mat and I'm off. The CA671 is the ONLY system that will allow you to do so. I have purchased nearly 20 systems from Travis over the years for friends and family and will always buy from him. Hell my house audio/video and three cars systems are all from KCA as well. I like helping the small business owner over the bix box store any day if he can take care of me.
Travis is a great guy to talk to and just blows me away with his mobile electronics knowledge. He's been in the biz for over 18 years I think. His installation instructions are spot on and will guide you through from start to finish. If you get jammed up just give him a call, email or text him and he's quick to get to you. Try that with anyone else out there.

Travis has definately been a pleasure to talk to and I see why everyone recommends kcautosound. Like you I would rather help out the small business owner if I can. I went with the CA671 though I did consider the SRT9000 because of the extended range. Since I will be installing it myself I know I wont get some hack job install which makes me more comfortable ordering from Travis as well.
DirtyDoggT I am just curios. Do you ever find the CA671 range to be a problem?
