Flying advice

So I'll be taking a trip this weekend on an airplane. What can and can't I bring? Only going to be bringing one bag total and carrying it on, freaking AA. What sizes of stuff can I take? I don't want to show up to the airport and have them tell me I need to throw out my deodorant and contact solution.

The contact solution will be tossed, and if your deodorant is liquid, it will also be tossed.

You'll probably want to check in a bag if you want to keep personals.

Pay $15 for a small bag of stuff that will take an extra hour to get? Ah no.

4 oz. bottle is the max liquid limit for carry on. And they must fit in a quart size (?) storage bag. There are kits you can buy at Wal-mart in the personal care section where they have the tiny travel size items. Just fill these bottles up with your contact solution, shampoo, KY, whatever.

Or shove the plastic bottle in your pocket and walk it through the metal detector with you.

I refuse to pay a bag fee!
If I'm going for a week or less, I just wear all the clothes.
Sure, I look like the Michelin Man going thru the airport but, I don't pay no stinkin fee.

As for deoderant, I just lather up real good before I go, enough to last me a week.

Another trick is to squirt about a half tube of toothpaste in your mouth before you go thru security.
Just don't say nothin to nobody and you'll be fine.

You can beat the system if you have a mind to.

You can drink at the airport, just use a straw if you go for the toothpaste trick.

Good advice Craz3d, but I'm driving myself to the airport. Well, I'm driving home, then my girlfriend is taking me there. And by taking me there, I mean I'm driving her car there, then she's driving it wherever.

Liquids that are considered "medicinal" are exempt from the bottle size restriction. They considered my contact lens solution medicinal, and being that I use "sensitive teeth" type of tooth paste that was considered medicinal as well. I was planning on checking my bag, but decided to catch a different flight and had to carry on so my stuff wasn't in plastic bags. They were really good about it, gave me a bag and let me take everything I had.

I'll have to try that with a bag of pot. It's kept in a small plastic bag to boot.
