Media bias

Have you folks noticed any media bias lately?

Care to share some links? I think it might be out there but I'm not sure.

look at the US Weekly cover for Sarah Palin this week compared to the most recent one for Obama.

Is anyone questioning whether Obama, Biden, or McCain can do the job while they have kids at home?

Watch MSNBC for about 5 minutes.....

Bill O'Reilly has a special guest this evening.
He has been trying to land him for months, nothing had worked.

The winning formula was a to announce a 21 part investigative series over the next four weeks.

I'm guessing the series was cancelled in exchange for this appearance.

Thought I would put the link to the US Weekly story. Its a good read, and it is clearly a jab at the GOP.

Imagine the uproar over these US Weekly headlines:

Obama's coke habit--does he still ride the white horse? Michelle speaks.
Obama and his friend William Ayers--do they both want to destoy the Pentagon?
Obama--bastard son of a practicing Muslim. His relatives tell the whole story.
Obama's Kenyan brother--what's it like to live on $1 per month with no support from Obama?
Obama's racist church--does Obama hate whitey, or just his pastor?

I laughed out loud at those. Sad thing is that it is exactly what would be on a cover if he were a Republican and white.

Wouldn't you be better off with a list of non-biased media? It would be a shorter list.

Who said the media can't be biased any how? How come I never see a thread whining about Rush or Michelle Malkin being biased?

Clearly no one feels strongly enough about it to make a thread

HUGE difference

Rush never claims to be objective. He offers his conservative opinion unabashedly. The mainstream media, are supposed to report the news, and remain objective... that's what they claim. If someone says they're liberal, and editorialize, that's one thing, but to "just report the news" is totally different.

You're kidding right? Rush and Malkin make no bones about being biased. They are not major news net work journalist. They are biased... that's the point.

News outlets... CNBC, MSNBC, FOX, CBS, etc etc are supposed to state the news without bias as they are media outlets. Talk show hosts are different. They state their OPINION about the news.

Rush and Malkin are commentators and make no bones about it. Bias becomes a problem when it is passed off as a legitimate news source. I expect the evening news to be unbiased. I expect Olbermann to be a leftist blowhard and O'Reily to be a populist blowhard.

Who says news outlets are supposed to be unbiased? You? Fox is biased, that seems to be OK. If the news was supposed to be unbiased, there would be no commentators or editorials. Nearly everything written or said is biased, get over it.
