I was exactly where you are, wow, 4 years ago now. My guy was 1 month shy of being 13 (Dalmatian).
Everytime I think about that day it hurts like hell, and after that day I swore never again. Long story short, 3 months later I fearfully took the trip to the pound and landed up adopting (I feel guilty even saying it but) one of the nicest pooches I've had yet. Once a dog person always a dog person. I did start to feel dog withdrawl after a couple of months without my pal. The pain gets better over time, somewhat.

Sorry for the loss of your family member. She was indeed a beauty, and lucky to have lived in a loving home.

sorry for your loss, its really to make the decission but its the best thing you can do for him. We loss are 8yr old Black lab 10 months ago, he had got fleas and we used hartz 2 in 1 flea and tick spray and it killed him. after research we found there are thousands of people that have had the same problem from Hartz Brand products. after calling hartz i was told "It usually doesnt kill the bigger dogs" and then the person hung up, after he told me to stop swearing which i didnt.

Sorry to hear that.

One of out labs is closing in on 14 years old, and she is slowing down really fast. Her hips are going out, she has a hard time getting up, and is starting to really have trouble breathing right. Her time is rapidly approaching, its pretty sad.

She was a beautiful dog. I know what you're going through. It's not easy. I'm so sorry for your loss.
